An Arkansas Small-Batch Roastery

Welcome to Monderosa Coffee Company! Founded by Joshua and Dawna Monroe, Monderosa Coffee Company began as a humble, passion-fueled endeavor on the back porch of the Monroes’ Arkansas home in 2017. Affectionately called “The Monderosa,” their home became the inspiration for the roastery’s name—a fitting tribute to where it all began.

Their journey into roasting began unexpectedly on an elevator ride when Josh noticed the rich aroma of a coworker’s coffee. After learning that the coworker roasted it himself and discovering the tools to start, the Monroes bought their first roaster from Sweet Maria’s and began roasting coffee at home. What started as a personal passion quickly became a calling, as friends and family took notice and began requesting their own freshly roasted beans.

Our Growth and Community Commitment

As the Monroes’ vision for Monderosa Coffee Company grew, so did their commitment to their community and faith. After a couple of years on the back porch, they felt inspired to create a dedicated roasting facility. In 2023, they completed and opened their first brickand-mortar roasting facility in central Arkansas, welcoming everyone to join in their passion for exceptional coffee.

Monderosa Coffee Company is unique in offering both traditional drum-roasted coffee and air-roasted coffee. The airbed roasting method provides a full-bodied, bold flavor without the acidity, making it a perfect option for coffee lovers with acid reflux concerns.

Our Mission and Values

At Monderosa Coffee Company, Joshua and Dawna’s mission goes beyond roasting phenomenal coffee; they aim to serve their customers while lifting up the name of Jesus. They also have a heart for ensuring that the farmers and families who grow the coffee are paid fairly for their crops. Whether you’re drawn to the boldness of their fire-roasted blends or the smooth, low-acidity airbed roasts, we invite you to join the Monderosa Coffee Company family and experience coffee that truly warms the heart and soul.
